St. George Ironman poster

Just yesterday, Kayla, Mom, Dad, and I drove down to St. George in the BMW to volunteer in the St. George Ironman. It was just amazing. What we did is got down there, got our shirts and headed off to go be catchers. What we did is when the athletes finished and crossed the line, we would hold them by the arm or around the back or whatever and then help them get a little farther so they were out of the way so other athletes could finish. We would check the size shirt they would get on their bibs and then get their shirt and hat. They would then go and get a picture taken in front of the Ironman finisher poster (picture above) and then we would help them get down a sidewalk probably a block long to get to food, water, their bags, their bikes and then just let them on their way. It was like 95 degrees outside, and very very windy too, so it was harder then normal for a lot of the people there. Some were not very happy with their times, yeah that part wasn't fun. Still, I was so inspired by all of the athletes and how much they had done to get there. They were talkative, which was good, and sometimes found family on the way to food and such. Some of them flew or drove out there by themselves, which was kind of sad, but they really appreciated being able to talk to us as we walked them down. Now, I really want to get good at the triathlons that I do so that maybe I can qualify one day. It was moving and to see the professionals talk to the regular athletes and share their experiences with each other. We also got pictures with the male and female winners, which was really cool. Well overall, it was amazing and I am so glad that I got to be there, and who knows, maybe next we can go volunteer at the Hawaii Ironman World Championship. :)

Good News!

I have some good news, well its great for me. In my quest for a cheer place that does not have nationals on a Sunday, I have found a place. Utah Fusion Allstar Cheer. They have great coaches there who are way kind and they take time out of their busy schedules to help you. And get this, they actually respect the ten commandments!!! Tryouts are on May 7th, and so I don't know what level I am on. I hope to be a level 4 flyer though. If I get placed on level three, its okay though, whatever happens, happens. I am NOT going to be picky, as long as I can still cheer and compete in the majority of the competitions. Anyways, I am very glad that I was able to have this experience. Through all the blood, sweat, and tears that were shed because of leaving Ace and just looking for a new place, I have grown closer to my Heavenly Father. I know that He is there in all of our lives all the time weather we see him there or not. He cares about what we do and wants us to do the best that we can in all that we do. I am so glad that I have been able to find a new place, and just let the rest fall into place. :)

ReCaP!

So here is the recap from this past year, hope you like it! P.S. If you do like it, comment ;) (Also, to see the little captions, watch in full screen.)

Life. As. We. Know. It.

Hello again. I am aware that I have not posted in about a year, so I figured why not do a recap of the year using pictures and possibly doing a slide show? Well guess what, I'm going to do a recap of the year using pictures and possibly doing a slide show. First though, I want to give a shout out to all of my great friends and family, whom without, I would not be posting again. There has been a lot going on just in these past few months! Life as a teenager is crazy as can be, with school, friends, family, and all the other activities that we use to fill out time, there isn't a lot of it (time) to go around. Well thank you Rachel Livingston, Bethany Morey, Tiffany Milar, Jessica Bass, all my other best friends, and the Miller crew for all your support and just being there for me in my life.

Our exotic day at Harmon`s

Brenna and her kiwi

Emi with her starfruit

Lindz and the brussel sprout

KJs artichoke

Me and my kumquats

Gelato

This is Chocolate Gelato. The difference between ice cream and gelato is that (1) gelato is much richer and tastier and (2) it is much more dense, ice cream has lots of air in it that makes it fluffy! I believe that I favor gelato over ice cream, and I eat ice cream a lot!! I got a small at Harmon's on Saturday and I could hardly finish it, and I could probably eat 2 bowls of ice cream. I don't really know the meaning of this post, I'm just saying that I like gelato and that I like it better then ice cream. So that's about it, and I will probably be doing more random posts often.

School, School, School

Well, I just thought that I would tell you how my classes are going along with my new schedule and stuff like that.
  1. Health (Spears) I really don't love this teacher, but I hope it will be better then in reading
  2. Writing (wright) This class is the hardest! I'm doing OK, but last time it was the only class that I had an A- in.
  3. Math (Gumeson) Math is going great. I'm understanding the concepts and am doing good on my homework. Also, I'm moving up to Algebra next year!
  4. Choir (Mcpharlin) She hasent been real happy with our class latley because a lot of girls talk, but were actually singing now and are getting ready for our spring concert.
  5. Utah Studies (Jones) This is my FAVORITE class of ALL time! Mr. Jones is super nice and wont get super mad if we leave something at home, also if we forget how to do something, he will actually work with us to figure it out. I love this class!! :D
  6. Reading (Spears) Not loving it. Hard, frustrating, talkative (not me, the class)
  7. CTE (Nichols) I dont really know how much I like this class, its good, not great, but not bad either. I think I like it more then dislike it though. (Plus that class has the awesome Australian kid in it!! I love his ACCENT!!!)

Thats my scheduel, teachers, and my opinion on the class so far!

Snow, Snow, go away, Dont Come Back `til ........... A LONG TIME!!

Hello, I know I haven't posted anything in quite a long time! My wish right now is for it to be summer already!! I have had enough of this snow stuff, well now, it`s not really even snow, it`s just dead grass. Boring, I know. Its kind of starting to warm up here in Utah, but still, cold enough to be called winter. :( Ill tell you when its spring though!! Now that will be a happy day!!

Christmas!!

This year, I didn't really have a wish list. I never really do. For presents though, I got tons of great stuff. A telescope, its not built yet, but we plan on opening all 8 boxes soon. Mario Cart, which we have spent over 4 hours on today alone. Many pairs of earrings and necklaces. I'm not much into jewelry, but most of these are super cute and I hope that I can wear them someday. Clothes, as every child every year. And last but not least, a cute little pug in a super cute purse. I also got a willow tree figure called "Forever Golden" Its really cute and holds a golden chain which represents my golden friendships with tons of people. All in all, this Christmas was a huge success! I think I will go and eat some jello now! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good almost night! And let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, here in Utah.

Aubrey/Bethany 5K

Aubrey invited some of her friends to run with her in the Sandy City "Turkey Trot 5K". Bethany decided to try it. They've been running together lately and were super excited for the race. We have been experiencing an especially warm Autumn and the 63 temperature this morning was amazing for a November race. Not only did Bethany decide to run, but her Mom and 2 sister did as well. There is nothing better than adding more people into the 'running community'. It is just a happy sport for anyone-regardless of age, size, speed, etc. Baeth and Aubrey had a great time together and beat their goal of under 30:00. Good job girls! You Rock!

Annie, Aladdin, and Cheer

Hello everyone! Yesterday, my whole family went to see Annie, a play done by the South Jordan Community Theater. Some of my friends were in it, but unfortunately, I couldn't be in it. Miranda, Jessica, and Lindsay (not my sis.) did great! The reason I did not do Annie is because of one simple (well not really) little thing. Cheer. Yes it is really fun, and don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it and being with my squad all the time, but practices are every Tuesday from 8:15 to 9:15 and practices for Annie were on Tuesdays from 6 to 8ish. You would think I could go to Annie and still get there in time, but NO of course I cant do two things I love at the same time! What are you, crazy! The thing is, Annie practices would be in South Jordan (where we live) and cheer is in Bluffdale. ( about 12 miles south of here.) Yeah ... I really want to try the next play that their doing, Aladdin, but practices would be about the same. I would just be late to cheer Tuesdays, but the thing is we compete in January. We compete against Max, one of the top cheer squads in the NATION while were over here, all by ourselves, being taught and trying to learn the things we need to know for it, but things are not looking so good now. So, wish me luck!

Im so glam, I sweat glitter...

Hello everybody. As you all know, or don't know, I have gym this semester. My teacher is not so nice and doesn't really care about you much. She might care about the good runners, but doesn't think that I am a good enough runner. Although I am the fastest girl runner, and right up there next to the fastest boy runner. Anyways, we have to run on mondays. As the saying in our class goes: " Monday, runday, its not a fun day." We now have to make our torture even greater by wearing heart rat monitors. These ones were $5 so you can expect the greatness of them. First of all, they pick up others heart rates when you run by them. Second, the straps nearly choke you to death, litereally, you cant breathe deep in them, which makes you breathe harder and faster, which highers your heart rate. If you think about it, it is kind of good, to have your heart rate up and all, but its hard to breathe at all afterwards. Third, I dont even knwo how to work the watches that goes with the monitor. I know its easy and that you jsut have to press a couple of buttons to get it started, but it picks up everybodys (is that how you spell that?) thats around you at all, leaving you in total confustment. Not to mention not letting you go above 180. Lame, I know. It might sound like I am being unreasonable, but really, it hurts. How I got the title was another expierence with the monitor. It wasnt really another expierence with it, but it was at a different time. When were taking them off, I look and I had aparently sweat like crazy. It was black so it looked glitterish. Gross I know. That is when I thought of my poor blog. All alone and lonley with no new post for a very long time. (I promise to try to do better) Thats when I thought of the blinkie that I had seen, but never had accially put on my blog. You all know that I am so glamorous and all, but I am really red faced and "glitterey" after I run, which is often. That is how I got my title, and blinkie. The end. :D

I Have Decided!

Hi everyone! I know it has been a really really long time since I have posted anything at all but now since I have a rare break in life, I have decided to post something.
School has been going.... OK I guess.... Science is OK, the teacher is kind of strange though, not mean or anything but just strange. Writing/Honors English is very stressful and has a lot of homework. We now have to write an interview about someone who sits next to us and I have to write about James Bagley. Not the most exciting person in the world, but you know, not every ones life can be an exciting as mine! :) Math is going really good actually! Better then I though, pre-algebra isn't as hard as I thought yet either. We hardly have homework because Mrs. Gumeson usually gives us time to do some in class. Choir is pretty good, the teacher is really really strict though, if she sees you chewing gum you get an S in citizenship. Ya not my idea. Gym is going not so good. The teacher is really mean and strict and mean and not just on some days, every day. Reading is pretty good, AR testing is really hard though and stressful and you have to read like two books a week to meet your goal, I am doing pretty good so far though. CTE 1 is good, you don't really do much, but you work on computers though and that's fun! The teacher though, Mr. Phelps, seriously you could make a wii person that looked exactly like him!! No joke!! So that is how school has been going so far for me at least! Tell me how your school years have been going so far how it has been going for the past year, (Aubrye). Thanks!!

long hike on pioneer day

Well our family and the Bloxhams decided that it would be a good idea to go on a 6 mile hike on pioneer day. (If you were wondering, its 3 up and 3 down, not 6 both ways, that would just be horrible!!) So we drive up to American Fark (Fork) to where I went to girls camp sort of. Me and Syd watched t he tower of terror movie and it was good but way dumb. Anyway, we get to way up where and then start to hike. Its all pretty at first and I'm thinking that its not gonna be so hard. And the lake at the top will be so pretty and then Ill jump into the clear cool water and just swim around for a while. After about a half mile, the only thing on my mind was surviving! It was so hard!! I mean seriously it was terrible! It was so steep and there was so many rocks and oh ya I figured out that I rubbed against some stinging nettle but I didn't really figure that out until Amy told me. Ya not so good. So we pass like 10 people and every time they say oh your almost there, and its so pretty once you get up there, and oh its just around that bend, ya none of those people were right. Some people are such LIARS! GRRR! We finally finally finally get up there after 1 hour and 15 minutes. For just 3 miles?? See what I mean? I finally get a view of the lake and it was the saddest sight ever! mosquito's everywhere on top of the water, the darkest more disgusting water ever and nothing to attach a top swing from. Not to mention that we could see fish jump up and eat the mosquito's, no it's not cool its gross. We all kind of eat dinner while were being eaten by mosquito's which are being eaten by fish which are being eaten by people. Its a food circle! We all decide that its time to go back since its getting dark and we still have 3 miles to hike, aah but here's the catch, these 3 miles are downhill! so me and Syd start running down and were cruising then we get scared out of our wits by Mike, Kayla, and Lindsay so we decide to scare my mom, dad, Amy, and Jessie. It was so funny!! Boy can I tell ya!! We all get down safe, (and I didn't touch the stinging nettle this time!) and then drive home and decide to do fireworks, provided by the Bloxhams of course and so we do them and it turns out that they were from Wyoming! So were sitting there thinking wow these are awesome I have never seen fireworks like these before, hmm... I wonder why? Maybe that's because their illegals!! So a police officer comes and says I saw your fireworks can I see them?? Mike lets her see them and then she said do you want me to take those or give you a ticket? We turned over the fireworks and then decided to do one more, turns out it shot off stuff too so we all run into the backyard and jump in the pool. We swam for a couple hours or until like midnight or so. Even though the hike was kind of blah, that pioneer day turned out to be great!
Sorry that I cant get the pictures to upload onto here.

4th of July

Today is the 4ht of July!! Today we had a BBQ with our grandma and grandpa Webber from California, but I'm guessing that most of you already knew that. Before all this however, at 6 int he morning, I was awakened by a very loud noise, my sister Kayla, oh what a joy. But luckily I knew why I was being awakened so early in the morning on a Saturday. Kayla, Me, Mom, Dad, and Grandpa were running int he fourth of July 5k. This year my goal was to break thirty. So we start the race and i feel great! I'm just flying through the neighborhood that is familiar from last years fourth of July 5k, but then all of the sudden there she was. KAYLA! She beats me in every race but I was totally focused on beating her this year. So we play tug o war for a while first shes in front, then I'm in front, then shes in front, then I'm in front, ect... So then she says " hey do you wanna walk for a minute or two?" Excited to be included stop after in in front of her and walk with her for a while, then we decided to run together and while we were running i tried to persist her to have us finish together since I was doing so well! She kept saying that she sprints at the end and I said ya I know just let me get a head start and then we can finish together! She kept saying I don't know I am a really fast sprinter and I want to sprint as fast as I can at the end like I always do. We just talked for a while after that and then she said to walk again but I didn't really want to so I just said walk ten paces and then lets run again but it was more like 30 or 40 paces rather then 10. k anyway so we get to the straight away and I see my dad yelling. I immediatly start running my hardest and pushing myself past the limits but Kayla sprints ahead of me as always but we were way close this time! And I made a person best and shaved off about 3 or 4 minutes! My end time was 30.8.6 30 minutes!! I was feeling really good about myself! And just to let you know I took 8th out of many many people and since I just turned 12 I am now racing with the 13 and 14 year olds so I still think I did really good! After we all finished we went over to Kneaders, the best restaurant in this entire world. I ate french toast and then got a mint brownie although grandpa ended up eating all of it. Anyway, my Fourth of July was pretty good! How was yours? Let me know!

That means that I, along with my wonderful friends will be leaving the elementary school!!!!!!! And do you know what that means??? That means that we will get to do the clap out, a celebrating where everyone int eh school goes out into the halls and then puts their hands out as the sixth graders clap their hands!! I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but it is for us!!! Well anyway that is what I am looking forward too tomorrow! I will be graduating elementary school!
