The Goal.
This is a story which will make you think for a minute. Here it is. I really dread going to piano, first of all because I don't like to practice. Second, I could think of twenty things I could do instead of going to lessons. Finally, I would rather do something else like uhh... join the swim team, start a new play, write a story, design clothes, color, think of ways to get money, grow flowers, choose seeds for my garden, work on my Faith in God (even though I only have 1 preparing for young women's left;)) Well, I was asking my mom about quitting piano when my mom thought of a brilliant plan, I would make a goal. My goal is two Wicked the Broadway musical songs and fifteen hymns. I think this is a very reasonable deal because when I complete my goal, I get to quit piano! How good is that?!? Anyways, I already almost have one Wicked song, What is This Feeling, by the way that's the name of the song. Well anyway I think this is a very good deal and I suggest this when you really want to quit something, but you just cant.

YOU'RE AWESOME. LOVE YOU LOTS, MOM
ReplyDeleteThat's a great goal. You will be grateful later in life that you can play hymns. Just ask Katie. She plays for Young Womens a lot.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty good goal. But I don't understand why some people hate piano!I really love to play! Sometimes practicing can be a huge drag but in the end it helps the hand eye cordination!:) Aubrey, I am deeply offended that I don't get an awsome animal. Just kidding! I like the one you did of Tanner!
ReplyDeleteya so... i agree with you all the way until pigs eat pork and bacon 24/7 and have you quit yet? hurry, it will make you feel better and be less sick from pizza and ice cream!
ReplyDeleteVery clever!! I like the goal!! But....NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! DON'T QUIT PIANO!! I was the same as you and I finally talked my mom into letting me quit when I was a sophomore in high school....even that long, I totally regret it!! I have had so many great opportunities to serve by playing the piano...but...because I stink (because I quit)...I didn't do as well of a service as I could have.
ReplyDeleteYou are one amazing chick! And, you have a lot going on. I love how wonderful of an example you are and how hard you've been working. Good luck with the decision...and making your goal! Oh, yeah...hint. Look in the back of the hymn book (page 386) There is a little paragraph that says "Some Hymns that are easy to play"....there's 13 of them....heck might as well do the easy ones ;)....ha!
