california!

As you all know I went to California recently. It was so fun; We went to Disney land and swam so here is Disney Land... day 1
On Monday, we went to Disney land and the first ride we went on... the raging rapid ride in California Adventure we got soaked and Emily didn't really want to go on it in the first place so in the middle of the ride i was soaked so was dad, Kayla and Lindsay, Emily was closing here eyes because she thought it was scary which it wasn't but anyway, then a huge HUGE wave came over her and she was SOAKED!! I mean seriously she was soaking wet that no part of her body was dry! She ended up getting thee wettest and was wet pretty much all morning! Next we went to this place that was like a brother bear thing and did some stuff there. there was this one ride thing where you got this disk thing attached to a tire and the tire was on the cable and at the end of the cable was another tire so you would go to the top of the hill and the jump down onto the disk and slide down the cable and then slam against the tire at the end and nearly fall off every time. It was pretty awesome! we then went on California screamin a couple times! I just love the part at the beginning when you speed up the hill at like 80 miles per hour! And that is Disney Land day 1!

pink eye. not fun

Hi everyone you might be thinking its like one twenty in Utah time, well it is. I am at home with pink eye and I am trying to type while holding a wash cloth over my right eye with my left hand, yes, I am a multi taster, as you can tell! ;) Well anyway I don't know how I got pink eye, but here is what happened today that might have led up to pink eye.
I stared the day with Fruit Loops then read scriptures with my family. After that I went to the ortho to get my braces tightened, my eye kind of itched but I didn't think much of it, I mean that always happens to everyone I'm sure. Then I went to school and did reading, I was only there for a fracion of it though. We then did scenic and wrote down what we have to study for our test tomorrow (YIKES, our test tomorrow?!?!?!?!?!) We then went down and had lunch but I don't think it was anything I ate because it was pizza and I have pizza all the time. Then, Molly, Rachel, and I went out to recess and played on the hill and with dandelions. Following recess we went inside and read a book then went outside to play kickball. My eye started to itch a lot and I mean a lot lot, I then asked my fellow outfielder that my eye was totally bugging me here's what she said, "Well its probably just an eyelash, it will go away" so much for that. Then I asked Molly and she said "Holy cow Aubrey, your eye is really pink and swollen!" ( Now there is someone I can trust!!) I went inside and tried to wash it while all these little kids were staring at me and my pathetic eye. Then I got my card and told my mom to come and bring me some Clarine. When she got there she said, " Aubrey, Clarine isn't going to help this your going to come home with me OK?" I knew she was going to say that so I had brought my card and backpack down with me to save time. Now I am telling you this story and you are wonding why do I care what you ate for breakfast?!? Yeah, I kinda figured that but whatever. I'm going t the doctor at three and I am going to see if it really is pink eye or not. I will be going to the doctor at three to check out if it is pink eye or not, but on the bright side, since I left school the swelling has gone down!?! :~) What an up lifting story, I know! ;)

Easter! Yum!

Today is Easter!! Yesterday, we had our annual Easter egg hunt for the familys in our old ward. This year though, we decided to step it up a little, well just by around seven hundred eggs.;) We hid 1000 eggs and we got to help hide them this year, which we never get to do ever!! We mostly chucked them in our tree once we ran out of hidding spaces in our 1/2 acher back yard. Emily and Lindsay threw most on the ground and then kicked them to spread it out. Our pine tree ate most of the ones I threw in there. We hid twenty four in the two rain gutters, like in in them, someone got them. We hid many many many many MANY in the hedge thing by our pool and they were all gone except for one, that's because it was at the bottom of the hedge and was too far to reach. After the majority of the eggs had been found, (we think all of them were found except for the on in the hedge!) we went over to the food table. At the beginning , when everyone is coming they bring the food or dish they brought to a table and we call that the food table. There was doughnut holes, powdered doughnut holes. two trays of Cinnamon rolls, little tiny cupcakes with a ton of frosting, broccoli salad, sour strawberries, chocolate muffins, blueberry muffins, and some other kind that I don't like very much. That's about all the food. Today (Easter morning,) I got a heart shaped necklace and a littlest pet shop pig. The pig is purple with a flower on its side. For dinner, like always we will have ham and rolls and mashed potatoes!! Mmm... one of my favorites!!! The only thing disappointing about this Easter is that I didn't get peeps, or a chocolate rabbit!! Can you believe that? No chocolate bunnies at Easter?!?!?! Well that's how my Easter has been so far!! Hope you have a great day!

how my goal has been going

Hi everyone, here is what I have accomplished for my piano goal so far.

If your wondering I happen to be playing one of my songs tha ti have accompllished. Try to guess which one it is!

My music wasnt picked up very much so you have to have super good listening ears to be able to hear it!! :)

OK, OK, so I haven't been doing very well, but I don't really want to have to practice the required songs and the extra ones! What I have accomplished though is this. I Know That my Redeemer Lives, We Thank Thee O God for a Profit, and the last hymn, Because I Have Been Given Much. The two Wicked songs I have chosen are Popular and What is this Feeling. I think. And that is how my piano goal has been going so far.

a little health tip(s)

Hi everyone! I was reading a really interesting book called eat this not that and it had some pretty interesting facts and some I can relate to. So here they are.

  1. the more ingredient something has the less healthy it is. One day we were having a kick butts day, like cigarette butts, ehh get it? Anyway, we were having kick butts day and the D.A.R.E officer had four people stand up and gave them a sheet of paper and the print was so small it looked like a bunch of little tiny mushed together letters. Then he said, " These are all known ingredient for one cigarette." Now you have proof the smoking is so bad and wrong, one other thing the officer said was " over half of these four pages of ingredient are poisons." DISGUSTING!!!! Who would want to breathe poisons!?! Well that is my first health tip, I plan to do these as often as I can or until i run out of fun facts. S"o once more, the more ingredients something has the less healthy it is for you. And you can take that to the bank!

I very strongly recommend the book "Eat this, not that"

And that's the end, if any of you don't know that's what they say on one of the wii games when you loose so yeah!

Cast Party

Today is our cast party and it was so awesome!! We got to eat pizza and eat ice cream. Rachel knocked the ice cream out of my hand though when she was bringing her hand down as fast as lightning. So me and Rachel ended up picking up whipped cream off of the brand spanking new carpet.
here is a video that we got ill figure how to put it on so it will be on pretty soon!

The Goal.

This is a story which will make you think for a minute. Here it is. I really dread going to piano, first of all because I don't like to practice. Second, I could think of twenty things I could do instead of going to lessons. Finally, I would rather do something else like uhh... join the swim team, start a new play, write a story, design clothes, color, think of ways to get money, grow flowers, choose seeds for my garden, work on my Faith in God (even though I only have 1 preparing for young women's left;)) Well, I was asking my mom about quitting piano when my mom thought of a brilliant plan, I would make a goal. My goal is two Wicked the Broadway musical songs and fifteen hymns. I think this is a very reasonable deal because when I complete my goal, I get to quit piano! How good is that?!? Anyways, I already almost have one Wicked song, What is This Feeling, by the way that's the name of the song. Well anyway I think this is a very good deal and I suggest this when you really want to quit something, but you just cant.

Temple Dedication

This afternoon, me, Kayla, Lindsay, mom, and dad got the privilege to go to the Draper temple dedication. It started at 4 and went to 6. It was a little longer then i thought it would be, but it was still awesome. I saw a ton of people I knew too. Lots of people spoke, people from the qualms of the 70, apostles, counselors, and the profit. At the end of all the talks, President Monson went up and spoke. Then he gave the dedication prayer. It was awesome! After that, Elder Okdorf did the alleluia thing with the handkerchiefs, it was was cool, all throughout the stake center there was a lot of white waving around. It was my first time doing it so it was a little hard the first round, then I got the hang of it. I still have my hankie and will keep it for the Oquirrah temple dedication in August. And that is how my first temple dedication went.

Dear Edwina, the Real Thing

Today was our last performance in this years school musical, Dear Edwina. As I told you before, Dear Edwina is a musical about people who write letters to this girl, Edwina. I get to be a letter writer, Abigail Matilda Fleckenheimer. Yeah that's a big long enormous name, I know. Here are some other names that are letter writers, Ill do them in order of when they sing.
Aphrodite Colossus Athena Swenson
Abigail Matilda Fleckenheimer
Carrie (she has no last or middle name)
Perowinkle Hurgeon Burgeon Yourgenson
Ziggy and Band
Scott Kunkle
Our performances went fairly smooth, most of them were really really good. All that is, but the kindergarten one. The music was all loud then soft and we were kind of fast because the music was really quiet. Yeah that one wasn't really good. Other then that though I loved performing. Me and my best friend were in it, well actually a couple of my best friends, and I met a lot of new friends from different tracks. All in all it was a really good experience, if you want to learn more, my family's blog has all the little details on it. Id like to thank all those who came and supported me and Kayla.

The Story Behind the Hedgehog

Here is the story behind the hedgehog on the side bar. I have nothing real interesting to post about right now and this is a pretty good story.

In Mrs.Bowman's class, we had auctions with the reading minutes that we had earned at the end of each week. Me and Rachel say the cutest hedgehog at the same time and wanted to get it first. I, being me, read a ton and ended up winning the hedgehog for 185 minutes. Then when I was bragging in Rachel's face ( I know I'm the best friend ever!) she told me the story about why she wanted the hedgehog. Ooh a story within a story!

Her brother ,Tanner is obsessed with hedgehogs and she wanted to give it to him for valentines day because it was holding a heart that read: Kiss Me! Anyway, she was so sad that i decided to name the hedgehog after her brother that wanted so to this day the hedgehog still has the name Tanner.

And that my friends is why I have a hedgehog on the side that is called Tanner.
You can thank one of my best friends, Rachel for letting me share this story with you today.

Happy St. Patrik`s Day!

Happy st. Patrick's day! I hope you all wore green and I dressed my blog in green so you cant pinch me. Ha ha! Today we played dodge ball and i lost my shoes a couple times. Oh and don't forget the time today when I was in out field and was just spinning and talking with Kaitlin my friend when a ball suddenly fell into my arms from the sky! Can you believe it, I actually got someone out, unfortunately, that person was Rachel, one of my BFF`s. Well it was a pretty good day except for the part where we performed for the first time, but that's another story. Happy St. Patty's day!

Our New Basement!! Yay!

For those of you who haven't been to our house recently, were redoing out basement. First we painted all the walls everywhere. I mean everywhere art room, main room, guest bedroom, and all the halls, yes even the ones in the stair hallway. Anyway, we had to move everything out to paint and then after we painted ( the paint in our basement is the same color as our living room, and pretty much the rest of our house, we then started to tear out the carpet. (If you haven't noticed, I have been saying we, that's because our family has been doing all this ourselves. My mom is very into saving money if you didn't know that.) Well we tore out the top layer of carpet and if anyone else has done this before knows that there is this squishy stuff under the carpet that is either stapled or glued down. Well we/mom and I took out the squishy stuff out. They stapled it down on the stairs and glued it down in the rooms/hallways. Me and mom took out the staples and then ripped out the stuff that was glued. We had to use shovel's and other gardening tools for this process though. When we were done with that, well that's where we are now. We are going to expand out kitchenette, and put different carpet in. If your wondering, we are going to put the tile for the kitchenette down, but were thankfully not putting the carpet down. Speaking of carpet we also had to carry it upstairs and then put it into a borrowed trailer. It was really really really heavy sometimes. Well this has been out basement expedition, the people are coming to put the carpet in tomorrow which will be Monday march sixteenth. Seriously, our basement looks like a news one, at least to me that is!

Dear Edwina Play!

Hey everyone, well if you don't know I am in a play called Dear Edwina. Its about people who write letters to this girl named Edwina, hence the name Dear Edwina. I am an awesome letter writer. By the way, that is the most awesome roll ever, its even better then Edwina! Well anyway I would like to share my song with you sense I know that some of the people who read my blog cant come down to Utah to see my play, like the Holt family, Aubrye, and some other people too. But if you can i wish you would come see me and my friends.
Anyway, here is my song.
Edwina, Edwina I'm at the end of my rope! How can I stop my brother from acting like a dope? He makes disgusting noises and he snorts just like a pig! Id like to punch his lights out, but I'm small and hes too big. My birthday party's coming, and his grossness's never ends. How can I have him there without loosing all my friends?
Most sincerely, warmest wishes,
Abigale Matilda Fleckenheimer.

Well that is my awesome song! We hope to see you this week at Dear Edwina. Now its time to go, now its time to go! That's a line from the play only instead of this week its next week, but we perform this week so why would i say next week? Seriously?

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been very good at posting lately. Well here is my story, it kinda goes with the title! Well we went off track. I played with friends even though I had play practice every Monday Thursday and Friday, it was pretty good, then one day my mom said that we had school the next day!! Can you believe that?! The off track was like two weeks! I know you may be thinking wow two weeks that's a while, but not when your off track. Nope! Two weeks feels like 3 days! Well that's whats been happening lately!

Happy 8th Lindsay

Happy birthday Lindsay!! Today Lindsay turned the big 8. She will soon be baptised but has to wait until may because we have general conference in April and then she will have her baptism in May because you usually get baptised the month after your birthday you know? So, she had a pizza making party and that was fun. First they played outside, then we went inside and went to the basement and that's where they got their pizza pans which were also the party give out things. They had fun rolling out the dough. There were squares, circles, rectangles, squares, wait did I already say that? Whoops! Anyway, then while the pizzas cooked they partly played twister. After that they ate their pizzas and opened presents. She didn't open them though, like out of the box? I still don't get why. Well happy birthday Lindsay hope you ave a awesome birthday!

a way cute conversation

OK, today Brenna said the cutest things to me we were both laying on our stomachs and I decided to ask her something. a=Aubrey and b=Brenna.
a-what do I not like Brenna?
b-apples?
a-no I like apples, what do I NOT like?
b-bananas?
a-no I like bananas. what do I not like, what do i say yuck to?
b-umm... piano
a-YES YOU ARE SO RIGHT!! OOOH I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
Then I gave her a hug and then she said,
b-yeah you don't like piano, its all dirty see it over there!
(we were in the living room, the room with he piano?! and yes our piano is kind of dirty, but come on we have had it sense my mom was pregnant with me in Arizona, its had to go through lots of moving and banging and all that other stuff kids do.)
Well anyway that was just kind of a random, cute moment I had.

presidents day fun

Hi everyone, so on presidents day all a kid wants to do is hang out with friends and watch TV all day, that's what I had in mind, but in our family, we don't do that often. Our parents however had other plans. So we ended up waking up at seven thirty, eating breakfast, then changing into grubby clothes to paint our basement. Not exactly what I was hoping for. Trust me, I was thrilled when we learned we were redoing our basement, but on presidents day, the day we had free time, not exactly the day I would have chosen if I were in charge of the project. So we start to clean the basement and then move everything in the middle, then moving it all our of the basement, then we started to steam the walls. It was fun, but hard. Then after we steamed we had to pick up all the paper off the ground, although Emily did a lot of it, we still had to pick up a lot. Then we washed the walls with this poison stuff we had to go to the store to get. It was OK except for the part where it got the wall green and then you would have to try to wash it again until the green came off the wall. Then we finally started to prime. The primer was not white though, we are painting our basement yellow so we got sort of a yellowish color, I thought it looked like the color of our living room, but hey whatever, its not my choice to paint it that color. After painting the walls, halls, and window box things, in the whole basement, we started to put the real color on. It looked like our living room, and it seriously looked the same as the primor, seriously I'm not kidding, it looked exactly like our living room. But hey, I didn't choose the paint. After mom and dad finished doing the real paint, me and Kayla made a fruit salad using marshmallows, apples, bananas, and grapes. We used like a whole bag of marshmallows though so its all good. For dinner we had baked potatoes, fruit salad, and salmon, only the potatoes were not very good because we only gave them like a half hour to cook. And then we went to bed, and that was our day. Although we have a lot of paint on ourselves!

Valentines Day!!

Hey everyone! Happy valentines day! Well anyway, today is valentines day and we are doing awesome! I dont if that really made sense, but oh well. Tonight for dinner we were doing to have pasta with shrimp and veggies, (fyi the shrimp and the veggies are in the pasta) but when dinner came of course something went wrong and we ended up having seven layer dip and tacos. Not exactly what i had in mind, especially because it was still candle lit, Brenna kept turning the lights on though. Then after dinner mom brought out presents for us from our Grandma Webber. There was candy, candy, candy, and a card. The candy was way cool though, there was a pez thing with three flavors we could put in, a wii remote thing. Ill explain, there were things shaped like wii remotes that you put little smarties in and you have to press b to make the candies come flying out. It was so funny though! When mom came out (the bags were see through and you could see the remote things) Lindsay said "WE HAVE MORE WII REMOTES NOW!!" I almost thought that It then mom said no their candy presser things. And the card is the reason that Brenna wanted the lights on, so she could read the card. Well that was our valentines day. How was yours, reply to me through your comments! I love you all!

A Visit to the Temple

our family in front of one of the pictures
me and kayla on the slow bus
Today we got to visit the temple, the Draper temple that is. It was the open house, and we just happened to get tickets! Lucky us!! Well anyway, most of my friends have gone, or are going to go in March. They all said that it was so beautiful. Dads friends said the cookies at the end are good. That threw me off a little. Wait my sixth grade friends say that something is so beautiful and very spiritual and my dads friends are saying they liked the cookies!!! Yeah that was a little weird. Anyway, we parked at a parking lot the went to the relief society room for a while we just sat and then we watched a little movie about temples. Then we got on a bus and our top speed was like 2.5 miles per hour. I'm not even kidding!! The driver was so slow. Anyway (does it seem like I say anyway a lot to you?) anyway, I mean then we went to the temple parking lot, we then walked a while in the cold and we about froze to death, except when we passed the little heaters. Once we went inside, we went and walked until we got to the baptismal font. It was really big and the detail was amazing! The little wheat growing out by the oxen, wow! then we moved on to the next level, the ordinance rooms. There were a lot and we got to go in one. It was enormous! Then we got to go to the sealing room. It was so beautiful. It had a big chandler and then two mirrors on opposite sides of wall. They reflected off each other and that represented everlasting life. Our last stop was the celestial room. We got to sit down a little and think about it. Everyones head was turned up at the chandalere, which is supposed to represent heavenward. After that we walked outside some more and then ended up in a gym. There were big paintings and lot of then. there was also a list of some of the temples, and a map of the world showing where all the temples in the world are. The cookies were really good too, just like dads friends said! After that we went to Astro Burger and ate. It was way good. And that was our day.

U of U Gymnastics Meet!

Usually were not for Utah, but in gymnastics, ya gotta face the fact that the U of U is the best!! Lucky Lindsay won a little ticket thing for 6 people to go to a U of U meet, we figured Brenna wouldn't need her own seat and that she could just lap sit, we had it all figured out. So the meet started at seven and we left at five, well more like five thirty, but anyway it was around five and we were driving, we were going to go to Quiznos because we had a coupon, so we go to the one we planned to go to and then it said it was closed, so we drive to pick up Quiznos at another place when we realize we could eat at the meet, but of course mom and dad had to get something else. So they had Quiznos. we keep driving to the whatever its called, its by their campus meeting building or whatever that's called. So every ones starting to get hungry so we say we have time, lets get Wendy's!!! What a good idea, so we started off there since we had seen one near by recently. So we get there and were like"chicken nuggets, nuggets I want chicken nuggets!!!! Blgggghh!" no one threw up or anything its just Brenna going bleggggggghh. so anyway everyone got nuggets so it wouldn't take that long. mom comes out like 35 minutes later and says were not even close. So its now like 7:10 and were all like ehhhh because were late. We finally got there and it took around 15 minutes to find seats. and we couldn't even sit together!
It was so good! (P.S. it was against BYU.) it was our first time being at a meet in a really really really long time! so we really enjoyed it. We saw a lot of friends there too. The Sweats, Coats,Amber Raby, and that's about it. We left a couple minutes before it ended and it was obvious Utah had won, and by a lot!! Well that was our adventurous night of driving all around!!

GO MOM GO!!! ;)

Mom ran another race! OK, so I couldn't think of any other way to start this post, but she did!?! Well any way, mom planned to do a half marathon (even though dads been trying to get her to do a full forever,) with her sister Ally, my aunt. She, ally has been running about as long as mom has, and maybe even longer! She hasn't done a full marathon yet either but plans too.
well anyway mom was going to Arizona, where the race is, to run and visit with family. So on Thursday night around 5 she and everyone except me and Kayla went to go drop her off at the airport, we couldn't go because we had rehearsal, but she did stop by the school before she left! :)
She arrived around who knows when. Now i know that's real precise and all but its the best i can do right now! On day two mom went to see her other sister, our aunt Barbie, with aunt Ally. they just hung out all day! then at night they zipped over to my cousins gymnastic meet. they say he was really good! The third day is here! It was finally the big day!! well anyway, they ran on a farm most of the way, passing corn fields and cows and cow sculls. Sounds kinda scary to me! then she was just running, and running and running when she dropped her garmin!!!! For any of you who dint know what a garmin is, that's a fancy type of running watch that hooks up with a satellite so that you can track your exact time all the time. Well anyway that fell off and she had to run backwards until she found it! This didn't slow her down too much though. When mom finished her time was 2:01, but that was the 10 k watch, and she didn't have her fancy satellite watch to tell her the exact time she ended at. But its all good. YOU DID AWESOME MOM!!!!
I LOVE YOU! :)
I forgot to tell you about her fourth day!!!! Well on her fourth day she went to church with Barbie and then flew home in the afternoon when we met her at the airport with beautiful signs!! And that's the end!

If not try this a couple times.

Bowling Night

Hey everyone again, OK it was Saturday night and we were bowling! I know what a dumb way to start a post, I know. but seriously how often do you get to go bowling!!! Well, anyway, we were going on our first turns, and i was second, then i threw it and guess what happened, I got a strike!!!!! On my very first try too. The only experience i have with bowling is with the Wii, and trust me the ball is a lot heavier in real life!! ;) on my ninth turn i had/got to use that little thing that you put the ball on and then you push it, yeah i got a spare that time, but that was the only time. well that s y awesome/not bowling night. this is what places we got. Dad: first; Mom: second; me: third; Kayla: fourth; Lindsay: third; Emily:fifth. And by the way, you may be wondering why Brenna isn't on the list, she took turns going on moms, Lindsay and Emily`s turns.

new years (sorry)

hey everyone! So... about new years, yeah its not like it was a while ago let alone a week or anything, but it was fun! Me and my friend, molly, came over here and we were going to be the only people awake, well me her and Kayla that is. Anyway Lindsay and Emi tried to stay up, but failed again for three years in a row. We tried shoving ice down their backs but they just flinched, then we dumped water on their heads but they were just like "ugh". Well, anyway we watched the new years ball drop in New York, (which was way cool because I have been there where they set up the ball!) and made crepes, which didn't taste very good. No offence Molly. But we made crepes, and did a five hundred piece puzzle. Although we didn't finish it. Other then that we didn't do much. Once mom came down about 11:53, but then she went to spend new years in bed. at 12:00, we ran outside and banged pots and pans and screamed! Then we ran down thee street and slid on the ice! It was so fun and we had a blast the only bummer was that Molly had to go at 12:15, so we didn't get to do much more. Well anyway that's what we did for new years!! I hope you had fun too.

My First Post

Hi everyone, this is my (Aubrey's) blog. I was inspired to do a blog by my friend, Aubrye in Australia. I was having a hard time thinking of a name for over 6 minutes. I was spinning in the chair when i saw a book called Small and Simple Things. I thought about it and realised i am small and sometimes simple so i chose something like that and it turned out aubrey-small and simple!
